Moving to Denmark

When moving to Denmark and importing your car it is required to register your car in Denmark within 14 days. Additionally you are not allowed to drive a car with a foreign registration within Denmark. For violations the Danish law provides considerable fines.

The registration process is explained in the following:

• Before moving to Denmark we provide a calculation of the registration tax on your car, which depends on the cars current market value. For this, year of built, mileage and the respective equipment is considered. By this you are able to estimate the cost which arise when registering your car in Denmark. 
  
  
• As soon as your are moving to Denmark your car has to be presented at an state authorised test centre where a technical inspection is conducted.
  
  
• Afterwards we are able to register your car in Denmark. AutoMentor is authorised by the Danish tax authority to register cars in Denmark. It is not required to attend any authority.
  
  
• You´ll receive your new Danish number plates and the preliminary registration documents.
